In order to both reduce the rolling resistance of a pneumatic tire 1 and ensure traction, a lug groove 40 extending in the tire width direction and opening into two circumferential main grooves 30 that define a land portion 20 is disposed in the land portion 20. The groove width LW of the lug groove 40 is within the range of 0.5 mm ≤ LW ≤ 3.0 mm. The lug groove 40 has a lug groove center portion 51, and lug groove edge portions 53 located on either side of the lug groove center portion 51 in the extension direction of the lug groove 40. The groove depth Dc of the lug groove central portion 51, the groove depth De of the lug groove edge portion 53, and the groove depth Dg of the circumferential main groove 30 satisfy the relationships 0.05 ≤ (Dc/Dg) ≤ 0.40 and 0.60 ≤ (De/Dg) ≤ 1.00. The width RWc of the lug groove central portion 51 in the tire width direction and the width RWa of the land portion 20 in the tire width direction satisfy the relationship 0.30 ≤ (RWc/RWa) ≤ 0.7.
