Provided are a hydraulic brake and an elevator that allow the braking torque of a hoisting machine to be diagnosed while conserving energy without applying motor torque. This hydraulic brake comprises a drive unit (13) that forms a hydraulic circuit for diagnosing braking torque on the basis of oil pressure for releasing the braking of a hoisting machine (3) of an elevator (1). This elevator comprises the hydraulic brake and a control device (7) to control the drive unit (13).

L'invention concerne un frein hydraulique et un ascenseur qui permettent de diagnostiquer le couple de freinage d'une machine de hissage tout en conservant de l'énergie sans appliquer de couple moteur. Ledit frein hydraulique comprend une unité d'entraînement (13) qui forme un circuit hydraulique pour diagnostiquer un couple de freinage sur la base de la pression d'huile afin de relâcher le freinage d'une machine de hissage (3) d'un ascenseur (1). Ledit ascenseur comprend le frein hydraulique et un dispositif de commande (7) pour commander l'unité d'entraînement (13).
