Abstract

The present invention relates to a photocatalyst device obtained by thin film making on solid surfaces, wherein the device comprises of titania, optionally in the form of composite with noble or transition metal(s) or metal oxides. This device (Figure 1) is evaluated in direct sunlight for hydrogen generation (Figure 4) and oxidation of alcohols (Table 3) using aqueous alcohol solution through water splitting and simultaneously oxidizing alcohol to oxygenated products.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif photocatalyseur obtenu par réalisation d'un film mince sur des surfaces solides, le dispositif comprenant de l'oxyde de titane, éventuellement sous la forme d'un composite avec un métal(aux) noble(s) ou de transition ou des oxydes métalliques. Ce dispositif (Figure 1) est évalué en lumière solaire directe pour la génération d'hydrogène (Figure 4) et l'oxydation d'alcools (Tableau 3) à l'aide d'une solution alcoolique aqueuse par fractionnement d'eau et oxydation simultanée d'alcool en produits oxygénés.
