Described herein is a silicone-based handle (100) for a cookware, such as a pressure cooker and a method of manufacturing the same. The handle (100) includes at least one grip portion (108) comprising a single-piece food grade material, in particular silicone, that is mounted on the core member (102) of the handle (100) by screwless means. It is also possible to provide a nylon material, such as a nylon sleeve, beneath the silicone grip portion (108). The present subject matter ensures that an inadvertent breaking and dismantling of the grip portion are prevented and chances of possible injuries to the users are substantially reduced. Further, the present subject matter provides easy and comfortable gripping of the handle (100). Since silicone is a food grade material, it is safe to use this material in a kitchen appliance or a cookware, such as a pressure cooker, saucepan and similar utensils.

La présente invention concerne une poignée à base de silicone (100) destiné à un ustensile de cuisson, tel qu'un autocuiseur et un procédé de fabrication associé. La poignée (100) comprend au moins une partie de préhension (108) comprenant un matériau de qualité alimentaire d'une seule pièce, en particulier de la silicone, qui est monté sur l'élément central (102) de la poignée (100) par des moyens sans vis. Il est également possible de fournir un matériau en nylon, tel qu'un manchon en nylon, sous la partie de préhension en silicone (108). Grâce à la présente invention, une rupture et un démontage involontaires de la partie de préhension sont empêchés et les risques de blessures des utilisateurs sont sensiblement réduits. La présente invention permet en outre d'obtenir une préhension facile et confortable de la poignée (100).
