Claims:

1. A system for construction of double U and single U shaped steel concrete composite structure for use in bridge including railway bridge and highway bridge, comprising:

a plurality of base slabs ( 1), an exterior bottom slab (3), an exterior top slab (9), and a plurality of bottom deck slabs (4), wherein said bottom hollow portion between said exterior bottom slab (3) and said bottom deck slabs (4) is filled with lean concrete mix;

a plurality of U shaped steel girders including top U shaped steel girder (8) and bottom U shaped steel girder (2) made of I section.

a plurality of approaches in cuttings made of single U section and being extended with I beam (12) and RCC slab ( 13);

a plurality of approaches in banks made of single U section and being extended with 1 beam ( 12) and RCC slab ( 14);

wherein, a camber is provided inside the box by adjusting a web of bottom U shaped steel girder (2) in a carriage way which is used up to four lanes for highway road and up to three lanes for railway/metro track;

wherein, said slab of 0.2 m thickness is provided on exterior of top U shaped steel girder (8), on exterior of bottom U shaped steel girder (2)and on interior of bottom U shaped steel girder (2) for transfer of forces therebetween.

2. The system for construction of double U and single U shaped steel concrete composite structure for use in bridge as claimed in claim 1 , comprising said top U shaped steel girder (8) and said bottom U shaped steel girder (2) being placed at a uniform interval of about 2m.

3. The system for construction of double U and single U shaped steel concrete composite structure for use in bridge as claimed in claim 1, wherein said top U shaped beam or steel girder (8) and said bottom U shaped beam or steel girder (2)

being connected by splices welded or bolted using HSFC bolts, thereby forming a full frame vierendeel type composite as a self straining unit.

4. The system for construction of double U and single U shaped steel concrete composite structure for use in bridge as claimed in claim l , wherein said U beams or girders (2,8) are formed of steel.

5. A precast method for construction of double U and single U shaped steel concrete composite structure for use in bridge, comprising the steps of:

providing base slab;

forming U shaped beams or girders made of I section by a way of cutting web plates of steel to thereby lifting camber for road drainage and also pre camber to thereby lifting dead load and up to 50 % of live load, wherein flange plates are bent in corner to 5T (whereas T is the thickness of plate) to avoid residual stresses and being welded to web plate to form U shaped beams;

galvanizing steel to prevent corrosion;

placing U shaped beams or girders one over the other at an uniform interval of about

2 m;

spreading of about 6 mm thick Mild steel sheets over U beams welded with 3 mm welds;

providing shear connectors in surfaces which is in contact with concrete;

performing concreting on exterior of U shaped beams and bottom deck portion;

forming top U shaped beams/steel girders in similar manner and provided in inverted position and concreting is done in exterior slab of beams;

transporting composite U shaped system by road/rail to site;

lifting base slabs and placing base slabs with lifting beam having lifting points at about 3m;

placing bottom U shaped beam in position, over which top U shaped beam is placed and connected thereto;

providing wearing coats with reinforcements in both decks portions;

filling the gap between top U shaped beams & slabs of bottom U shaped beams is filled with lean concrete mix;

performing earth filling until formation of top deck and the bridge is being commissioned:

providing approaches in cutting process by a way of constructing bottom U shaped beam which is further extended with 1 beams and RCC slab;

providing approaches in bank by a way of constructing bottom U shaped beam which is further extended with 1 beams and RCC slab but except with the provision of slabs over inner side of U beams to thereby lifting road/rail loads and earth loads and exterior slabs up to GL; and

filling joints with epoxy/polymer modified mortar for water proofing.

6. An in situ method for construction of double U and single U shaped steel concrete composite structure for use in bridge, comprising the steps of:

performing earth filling to the required level and providing sand filling and levelling course instead of base slab;

forming top and bottom U beams and performing concreting of exterior slabs as same as performed in precast scheme;

filling of lean concrete up to top level of U beams;

casting RCC deck slab including foot path/raised kerb; and

performing construction of top beams till commissioning is as same as done in precast scheme except work is done in situ.
