A method of operating an LLS-CU includes providing (1102) downlink signals to be transmitted to a UE over a wireless radio interface, allocating (1104) the downlink signals to resource elements, REs, of a physical downlink channel, generating (1106) a data-associated control information, DACI, message including a section description associated with the downlink signals, the DACI message including a resource element mask that defines the location of one or more REs within a PRB of a downlink signal on the physical downlink channel, and an indication of beamforming weights to be applied by a radio unit, RU, when transmitting the downlink signals to the UE, wherein the beamforming weights are associated with resource elements according to the resource element mask, transmitting (1108) the DACI message to the RU, and transmitting (1110) the downlink signals to the RU for transmission to the UE.

Un procédé de fonctionnement d'une LLS-CU comprend les étapes consistant à fournir (1102) des signaux de liaison descendante devant être transmis à un UE sur une interface radio sans fil, à attribuer (1104) les signaux de liaison descendante à des éléments de ressource, RE, d'un canal de liaison descendante physique, à générer (1106) un message d'information de commande associée à des données, DACI, comprenant une description de section associée aux signaux de liaison descendante, le message DACI comprenant un masque d'élément de ressource qui définit l'emplacement d'un ou de plusieurs RE dans un PRB d'un signal de liaison descendante sur le canal de liaison descendante physique, et une indication de pondérations de formation de faisceau à appliquer par une unité radio, RU, lors de la transmission des signaux de liaison descendante à l'UE, les pondérations de formation de faisceau étant associées à des éléments de ressource selon le masque d'élément de ressource, à transmettre (1108) le message DACI à la RU, et à transmettre (1110) les signaux de liaison descendante à la RU pour une transmission à l'UE.
