Polyethylene compositions, having a density from about 0.900 g/cm3 to about 0.950 g/cm3, a MI (I2, 190°C, 2.16 kg) from about 0.1 g/10 min to about 10 g/10 min, an MIR (I21/I2) from about 25 to about 80, an Mz greater than or equal to about 150,000 g/mol, and either an Mz/Mn ratio greater than or equal to about 8.0, an Mz/Mw ratio greater than or equal to about 2.4, or an (l2*Mz/Mn) from about 3 to about 100, are provided. The polyethylene compositions are useful in wire and cable, tape, and filament applications. Methods for producing the same are also provided.

La présente invention concerne des compositions de polyéthylène, ayant une densité comprise entre environ 0,900 g/cm3 et environ 0.950 g/cm3, un MI (I2, 190°C, 2.16 kg) compris entre environ 0,1 g/10 min et environ 10 g/10 min, un MIR (I21/I2) compris entre environ 25 et environ 80, un Mz supérieur ou égal à environ 150.000 g/mol, et soit un rapport Mz/Mn supérieur ou égal à environ 8.0, un rapport Mz/Mw supérieur ou égal à environ 2.4, soit un (l2*Mz/Mn) compris entre environ 3 et environ 100. Les compositions de polyéthylène sont utiles dans des applications de fil et de câble, de bande et de filament. L'invention concerne également des procédés de production de ces dernières.
