Abstract

Systems and methods for performing magnetic resonance (MR) thermometry include a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) unit (100) and a controller (124) in communication with the MRI unit (100) and configured to cause the MRI unit (100) to acquire one or more baseline phase images of an imaging region (110) and one or more treatment phase images of the imaging region (110) subsequent to a temperature change of a subregion within the imaging region (110), electronically generate a thermal map pixelwise indicating the temperature change of the subregion based at least in part on the acquired baseline phase image and treatment phase image, computationally predict the temperature change of the subregion based at least in part on energy deposited in the subregion during treatment without reference to the generated thermal map, and determine whether the thermal map is inaccurate based at least in part on the temperature change of the subregion indicated by the thermal map and the predicted temperature change of the subregion.

L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés de mise en œuvre de thermométrie par résonance magnétique (RM) faisant appel à une unité d'imagerie par résonance magnétique (IRM) (100) et à un dispositif de commande (124) en communication avec l'unité d'IRM (100) et configuré pour amener l'unité d'IRM (100) à acquérir une ou plusieurs images de phase de ligne de base d'une région d'imagerie (110) et une ou plusieurs images de phase de traitement de la région d'imagerie (110) suite à un changement de température d'une sous-région à l'intérieur de la région d'imagerie (110), pour générer électroniquement une image thermique pixelisée indiquant le changement de température de la sous-région sur la base, au moins en partie, de l'image de phase de ligne de base acquise et de l'image de phase de traitement, pour prédire par calcul le changement de température de la sous-région sur la base, au moins en partie, de l'énergie déposée dans la sous-région pendant le traitement sans référence à la carte thermique générée, et pour déterminer si la carte thermique est imprécise sur la base, au moins en partie, du changement de température de la sous-région indiquée par la carte thermique et du changement de température prédit de la sous-région.
