Cable/line systems and related methods are provided. The cable/line systems include at least one central cable and an optical waveguide surrounding the cable. The optical waveguide includes an inner cladding, a core, and an outer cladding. Scattering structures are dispersed within the optical waveguide. The optical waveguide is configured to scatter light by way of the scattering structures away from the core to emit radial lighting along the length of the optical waveguide. The spectrum and/or luminance of the emitted light is controlled according to properties of the cable/line.

Cette invention concerne des systèmes de câble/ligne et des procédés associés. Les systèmes de câble/ligne comprennent au moins un câble central et un guide d'ondes optique entourant le câble. Le guide d'ondes optique comprend une gaine interne, une âme et une gaine externe. Des structures de diffusion sont dispersées à l'intérieur du guide d'ondes optique. Le guide d'ondes optique est configuré pour diffuser de la lumière au moyen des structures de diffusion à l'opposé de l'âme de façon à émettre un éclairage radial le long de la longueur du guide d'ondes optique. Le spectre et/ou la luminance de la lumière émise est contrôlé en fonction des propriétés du câble/de la ligne.
