The invention relates to the manufacture of a pre-impregnated fibrous material which contains continuous fibers and a thermoplastic matrix, said material being made as a plurality of unidirectional parallel ribbons or sheets, and said method involving a step of pre-impregnating, in dry conditions, N parallel strands (20) divided into X groups consisting of Ni strands, by the thermoplastic matrix in powder form in a tank (10), ∑ Ni=N et X 3, one thereof from each series being immersed in said powder, each group of strands running on the same number Y of tensioning parts, and said parallel strands being separated by a spacing at least equal to the width of each strand.

Fabrication d'un matériau fibreux pré-imprégné comprenant des fibres continues et une matrice thermoplastique, matériau réalisé en plusieurs rubans ou nappe parallèles unidirectionnels comprenant une étape de pré-imprégnation en voie sèche de N mèches parallèles (20) divisées en X groupes constitués de Ni mèches par la matrice thermoplastique en poudre dans une cuve (10), ∑ Ni=N et X 3, dont l'une desdites de chaque série est immergée dans ladite poudre, chaque groupe de mèche défilant sur le même nombre Y de pièces d'embarrage, lesdites mèches parallèles étant séparées d'au moins la largeur de chaque mèche.
