Abstract

A type II valve train assembly that selectively opens first and second intake valves and first and second exhaust valves is provided. The valve train assembly includes an intake rocker arm assembly and an exhaust rocker arm assembly. The valve train assembly is configurable for operation in any combination of activated and deactivated states of engine braking and cylinder deactivation. The exhaust rocker arm assembly includes a first exhaust rocker arm, a second exhaust rocker arm and an engine brake exhaust rocker arm. A first exhaust HLA is associated with the first exhaust rocker arm. A second exhaust HLA is associated with the second exhaust valve. An exhaust actuation assembly selectively actuates to alter travel of the first and second exhaust HLA's to change a state of cylinder deactivation between activated and deactivated.

L'invention concerne un ensemble dispositif de commande des soupapes du type II, lequel ensemble ouvre de façon sélective des première et seconde soupapes d'admission et des première et seconde soupapes d'échappement. L'ensemble dispositif de commande des soupapes comprend un ensemble culbuteur d'admission et un ensemble culbuteur d'échappement. L'ensemble dispositif de commande des soupapes peut être configuré pour un fonctionnement dans n'importe quelle combinaison d'états activés et désactivés de frein-moteur et de désactivation de cylindre(s). L'ensemble culbuteur d'échappement comprend un premier culbuteur d'échappement, un second culbuteur d'échappement et un culbuteur d'échappement de frein-moteur. Un premier HLA d'échappement est associé au premier culbuteur d'échappement. Un second HLA d'échappement est associé à la seconde soupape d'échappement. Un ensemble actionnement d'échappement effectue un actionnement de manière sélective pour modifier le déplacement des premier et second HLA d'échappement pour changer un état de désactivation de cylindre entre activé et désactivé.
