Abstract
(EN)
An aerosol-generating system (1) includes a cartridge (100), an aerosol-generating device (300) configured to receive the cartridge, a light source (160), and a detector (165). The cartridge includes a storage compartment (103) configured to contain a liquid composition comprising an aerosol-forming substrate (131). The aerosol-generating device comprises a power supply (310) and control electronics (320) operably coupled to the power supply. The light source is operably coupled to the control electronics and positioned and oriented to emit light into the storage compartment of the cartridge. The light emitted from the light source is absorbed by the liquid composition. The detector is operably coupled to the control electronics and positioned and oriented to detect light emitted from the light source. The light source and the detector are both located adjacent to a same side of the storage compartment and a surface of the storage compartment opposite the light source is configured to absorb light emitted into the storage compartment from the light source.

Un système de génération d'aérosol (1) comprend une cartouche (100), un dispositif de génération d'aérosol (300) configuré pour recevoir la cartouche, une source de lumière (160) et un détecteur (165). La cartouche comprend un compartiment de stockage (103) configuré pour contenir une composition liquide comprenant un substrat de formation d'aérosol (131). Le dispositif de génération d'aérosol comprend une alimentation électrique (310) et une électronique de commande (320) couplée fonctionnellement à l'alimentation électrique. La source de lumière est couplée fonctionnellement à l'électronique de commande et positionnée et orientée pour émettre de la lumière dans le compartiment de stockage de la cartouche. La lumière émise par la source de lumière est absorbée par la composition liquide. Le détecteur est couplé fonctionnellement à l'électronique de commande et positionné et orienté pour détecter la lumière émise par la source de lumière. La source de lumière et le détecteur sont situés à proximité d'un même côté du compartiment de stockage et une surface du compartiment de stockage opposée à la source de lumière est configurée pour absorber la lumière émise dans le compartiment de stockage à partir de la source de lumière.
