Abstract

Process for making a partially coated electrode active material wherein said process comprises the following steps: (a) providing an electrode active material according to general formula Li1+xTM1-x02, wherein TM is Ni and at least one of Co and Mn, and, optionally, at least one element selected from Al, Mg, Ba, B, and transition metals other than Ni, Co, and Mn, and x is in the range of from -0.05 to 0.2, (b) treating said electrode active material with a compound according to the general formula (H2AI-OR1 )2 wherein R1 is selected from C2-C6-alkyl, followed by an after-treatment step selected from (c) treating the material obtained from step (b) with an oxidizing agent, (d) treating the material obtained from step (b) with HP, and (e) treating the material obtained from step (b) with a phosphorus-bearing reagent selected from H3PO4, fluorophosphoric acid and difluorophosphoric acid.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un matériau actif d'électrode partiellement revêtu, ledit procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes consistant à : (a) fournir un matériau actif d'électrode selon la formule générale Li1+xTM1-x02, dans laquelle TM est du Ni et au moins un élément parmi du Co et du Mn et, facultativement, au moins un élément choisi parmi de l'Al, Mg, Ba, b et des métaux de transition autres que les Ni, Co et Mn et x est dans la plage de -0,05 à 0,2, (b) traiter ledit matériau actif d'électrode avec un composé selon la formule générale (H2AI-OR1 )2, dans laquelle R1 est choisi parmi de l’alkyle C2-C6, suivie d'une étape de post-traitement choisie parmi (c) le traitement du matériau obtenu à l'étape (b) avec un agent oxydant, (d) le traitement du matériau obtenu à l'étape (b) avec de l'HP et (e) le traitement du matériau obtenu à l'étape (b) avec un réactif contenant du phosphore choisi parmi l'H3PO4, l'acide fluorophosphorique et l'acide difluorophosphorique.
