Die Erfindung betrifft eine Antriebsvorrichtung (12) für ein Fahrrad (1), insbesondere ein Elektrofahrrad, aufweisend eine Energiespeichervorrichtung (13), eine zu der Energiespeichervorrichtung (13) separate Motorvorrichtung (17) mit einem Elektromotor (30) zum Antreiben einer Tretkurbelachse des Fahrrads (1), wobei die Motorvorrichtung (17) und die Energiespeichervorrichtung (13) ausgebildet sind, mittels einer elektromechanischen Kopplung (21) miteinander derart verbunden zu werden, dass der Elektromotor (30) mit Energie der Energiespeichervorrichtung (13) versorgbar ist, und dass die Motorvorrichtung (17) und die Energiespeichervorrichtung (13) in verschiedenen Winkeln (22), insbesondere zwischen ihren Längsachsen (23, 24), zueinander koppelbar sind.
