Cable terminating assembly with electrically insulating cutting blades The invention relates to a cable terminating assembly (1) for terminating a cable (8) comprising at least one wire (6). The cable terminating assembly (1) comprises a wire manager (2) with an end face (4) facing in an insertion direction (I) adapted to hold the at least one wire (6) in a predetermined position and a connector housing (10) with a reception opening (12) for receiving at least a part of the wire manager (2) along the insertion direction (I). In order to cut the at least one wire (6) to length without the use of an extra tool, the connector housing (10) is provided with at least one cutting blade (14) for cutting the at least one wire (6) to length formed by an electrically insulating material. By having the at least one cutting blade (14) formed by an electrically insulating material, the at least one cutting blade (14) shears off excessive length of the at least one wire (6) and also electrically insulates the at least one wire (6) in the connector housing (10). Therefore, it is not necessary to provide an insulating feature in addition to the at least one cutting blade (14), which would lead to a bigger cable terminating assembly and an increase in production costs.

L’invention porte sur un ensemble de terminaison de câble (1) destiné à terminer un câble (8) comprenant au moins un fil (6). L’ensemble de terminaison de câble (1) comprend un gestionnaire de fils (2) pourvu d’une face d’extrémité (4) tournée dans une direction d’insertion (I) servant à maintenir le ou les fils (6) dans une position préétablie et un logement de connecteur (10) pourvu d’une ouverture de réception (12) destiné à recevoir au moins une partie du gestionnaire de fils (2) le long de la direction d’insertion (I). Afin de couper le ou les fils (6) à la bonne longueur sans l’usage d’un outil supplémentaire, le logement de connecteur (10) comporte au moins une lame de coupe (14) destinée à couper le ou les fils (6) à la bonne longueur formée par un matériau électriquement isolant. En ayant la ou les lames de coupe (14) formées par un matériau électriquement isolant, la ou les lames de coupe (14) cisaillent la longueur excessive du ou des fils (6) et également isolent électriquement le ou les fils (6) dans le logement de connecteur (10). Il n’est donc pas nécessaire de réaliser d’élément isolant en plus de la ou des lames de coupe (14), ce qui conduirait à un ensemble de terminaison de câble plus gros et en un accroissement des coûts de production.
