Abstract

A system comprising a power adaptor (108) and a LiFi over PLC enabled device (102), the power adaptor comprising: an input for receiving a first signal from a source, wherein the first signal comprises an outgoing PLC signal modulated into an AC power component; an output for transmitting a second signal to the PLC device, wherein the second signal comprises a version of the outgoing PLC signal modulated into a DC power component; a power path comprising a power converter for converting the AC power component to the DC power component, and filtering circuitry arranged to attenuate the outgoing PLC signal entering the power converter; a signal path comprising insulating circuitry arranged to allow the outgoing PLC signal but not the AC power component to pass from the input to the output, and a junction arranged to produce the second signal by superposing the outgoing PLC signal passed by the insulating circuitry into the DC power component produced by the power converter for delivering the outgoing PLC signal to the LiFi over PLC enabled device for emitting the outgoing PLC signal in its light output.

L'invention concerne un système comprenant un adaptateur secteur (108) et un dispositif LiFi compatible avec le courant porteur en ligne (PLC) (102), l'adaptateur secteur comprenant : une entrée pour recevoir un premier signal provenant d'une source, le premier signal comprenant un signal PLC sortant modulé en une composante de puissance alternative (AC); une sortie pour transmettre un second signal au dispositif PLC, le second signal comprenant une version du signal PLC sortant modulé en une composante de puissance continue (DC); un trajet de puissance comprenant un convertisseur de puissance pour convertir la composante de puissance AC en composante de puissance DC, et des circuits de filtrage agencés pour atténuer le signal PLC sortant entrant dans le convertisseur de puissance; un trajet de signal comprenant des circuits d'isolation agencés pour permettre au signal PLC sortant mais pas à la composante de puissance AC de passer de l'entrée à la sortie, et une jonction agencée pour produire le second signal par superposition du signal PLC sortant passé par le circuit isolant dans le composant de puissance DC produit par le convertisseur de puissance pour délivrer le signal PLC sortant au dispositif compatible PLC pour émettre le signal PLC sortant vers sa sortie de lumière.
