Abstract

The invention provides a method of medical imaging. The method comprises: receiving, for a current active time window (204A-N) and during a brain activity analysis session (200, 500), fMRl data of a region of interest (309) of a subject (318) in an active state. A transverse relaxation, T2*, map may be generated from the fMRI data using a predefined model of fMRI data variations. The generated T2* map may be compared with a reference T2* map. A blood-oxygen- level dependent (BOLD) response of the region of interest (309) during the current active time window (204 A-N) may be estimated using the results of the comparison.

L'invention concerne une méthode d'imagerie médicale. La méthode consiste : à recevoir, pour une fenêtre temporelle active en cours (204A-N) et pendant une session d'analyse d'activité cérébrale (200, 500), des données IRMf d'une région d'intérêt (309) d'un sujet (318) dans un état actif. Une carte de relaxation transversale (T2*) peut être générée à partir des données IRMf à l'aide d'un modèle prédéfini de variations de données fMRI. La carte T2* générée peut être comparée à une carte T2* de référence. Une réponse dépendant du niveau d'oxygène du sang (BOLD) de la région d'intérêt (309) pendant la fenêtre temporelle active en cours (204 A-N) peut être estimée à l'aide des résultats de la comparaison.
