Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Verschweißen zweier warmer Metallprodukte miteinander, vorzugsweise für ein nachfolgendes quasi endloses Warmwalzen. Das Verfahren sieht vor, dass die miteinander zu verschweißenden Metallprodukte zunächst an ihren zu verbindenden Stirnseiten jeweils schopfgeschnitten werden, um jeweils plane Stoßflächen zu erhalten, die außerdem zum Zeitpunkt des Schopfschnittes zunächst noch frei von Zunder sind. Um ein Reibverschweißen der beiden Metallprodukte miteinander an ihren schopfgeschnittenen Stirnseiten zu ermöglichen, ohne dass zu hohe Oszillationskräfte aufgebracht werden müssen und ohne dass die Qualität der Schweißverbindung darunter leidet, ist es erforderlich, dass der Reibwert zwischen den zu verbindenden Metallprodukten in einem vorbestimmten Reibwertebereich liegt. Erfindungsgemäß wird dieser Reibwert eingestellt, indem nach dem Schopfschneiden aber vor dem Verschweißen auf die Stirnseite des voreilenden und/oder des nacheilenden Metallproduktes eine Zunderschichtmit einer nach Maßgabe des erforderlichen Reibwertes vorbestimmten Dicke d gezielt aufgebracht wird.

The invention relates to a method for welding two hot metal products together, preferably for subsequent quasi-continuous hot rolling. According to the method, the metal products to be welded together are first cropped at the end faces thereof to be joined, in order to obtain flat abutting surfaces that are additionally initially still free of scale at the time of the cropping. In order to enable the friction welding of the two metal products to one another at the cropped end faces thereof without excessive oscillation forces having to be applied and without the quality of the welded joint suffering because of this, it is necessary that the friction coefficient between the metal products to be joined lies in a predefined friction coefficient range. According to the invention, this friction coefficient is set by applying, in a controlled way, a scale layer having a thickness d, which is predetermined in accordance with the required friction coefficient, after the cropping but before the welding onto the end face of the leading and/or the lagging metal product.

L'invention concerne un procédé servant à assembler par soudage deux produits métalliques chauds l'un à l'autre de préférence pour un laminage à chaud quasiment sans fin consécutif. Le procédé prévoit que les produits métalliques à assembler par soudage l'un à l'autre sont d'abord respectivement découpés par éboutage sur leurs côtés frontaux à assembler pour obtenir des surfaces d'aboutement respectivement planes, qui sont par ailleurs sans calamine au moment du découpage par éboutage. L'invention vise à permettre un soudage par friction des deux produits métalliques l'un à l'autre sur leurs côtés frontaux découpés par éboutage sans avoir à appliquer des forces d'oscillation trop élevées et sans que la qualité de soudage n'en soit affectée. Il est nécessaire à cet effet que le coefficient de friction entre les produits métalliques à assembler se situe dans une plage de coefficients de friction prédéfinie. Selon l'invention, ledit coefficient de friction est réglé en ce qu'une couche de calamine est appliquée de manière ciblée avec une épaisseur d prédéfinie conformément au coefficient de friction nécessaire après le découpage par éboutage, toutefois avant l'assemblage par soudage sur le côté frontal du produit métallique précédent et/ou suivant.
