The invention relates to an electrochemical energy storage cell (1) comprising at least one cell coil (2) that is received in a housing (3), said housing (3) being closed on at least one end face (4) by a cover (5), said cover (5) forming a part of the housing (3), wherein at least one insulation element (11) is disposed between the cell coil (2) and the housing (3), and the at least one insulation element (11) is made of an electrically insulating and thermally conductive material.
