Abstract

The invention relates to aqueous silica dispersion with a pH in the range from 8 to 14, comprising a base chosen from the group consisting of alkali metal hydroxides, (akyl)ammonium hydroxides or a mixture thereof, at least 35% by weight of silica particles surface-treated with an amino-organosilane (I) and/or a product of hydrolysis of compound of formula (I), 3% to 35 % by weight of at least one polyol, 20% to 60 % by weight of water, preparation of such dispersion and the use thereof in fire-resistant glass.

L'invention concerne une dispersion aqueuse de silice présentant un pH dans la plage de 8 à 14, comprenant une base choisie dans le groupe constitué par les hydroxydes de métal alcalin, les hydroxydes d'(alkyl)ammonium ou un mélange correspondant, au moins 35 % en poids de particules de silice traitées en surface par un amino-organosilane (I) et/ou un produit d'hydrolyse du composé de formule (I), 3 % à 35 % en poids d'au moins un polyol, 20 % à 60 % en poids d'eau, la préparation d'une telle dispersion et l'utilisation correspondante dans du verre résistant au feu.
