A method of decoding a block of a picture, comprising: obtaining an indication parameter for a current coding block (801). The indication parameter represents whether a multi-hypothesis prediction is applied to the current coding block. When the indication parameter represents that the multi-hypothesis prediction is applied to the current coding block (802), decoding the current coding block according to a planar mode (803).

L'invention concerne un procédé de décodage d'un bloc d'une image, consistant : à obtenir un paramètre d'indication destiné à un bloc de codage actuel (801). Le paramètre d'indication représente si une prédiction multi-hypothèse est appliquée au bloc de codage actuel. Lorsque le paramètre d'indication indique que la prédiction multi-hypothèse est appliquée au bloc de codage actuel (802), à décoder le bloc de codage actuel suivant un mode planaire (803).
