The application relates to an extension method for motion reference in intra block copy mode. A method of video processing is disclosed. The method of video processing includes: determining, during a conversion between a current block and a bitstream representation of the current block, one or more padding values; and performing, at least based on the one or more padding values, the conversion.

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé d'extension pour une référence de mouvement dans un mode de copie intra-bloc. La présente invention porte sur un procédé de traitement vidéo. Le procédé de traitement vidéo consiste : à déterminer, pendant une conversion entre un bloc actuel et une représentation de train de bits du bloc actuel, une ou plusieurs valeurs de remplissage ; et à effectuer, au moins sur la base de la ou des valeurs de remplissage, la conversion.
