Provided are a quantum dot color film substrate (100) and a preparation method for the quantum dot color film substrate (100). The quantum dot color film substrate (100) comprises: a substrate (1) comprising a plurality of first sub-pixel regions (2), a plurality of second sub-pixel regions (3), and a plurality of third sub-pixel regions (4). The materials of the plurality of second sub-pixel regions (3) and the plurality of third sub-pixel regions (4) are identical, but the materials of the plurality of second sub-pixel regions (3) and the plurality of third sub-pixel regions (4) differ from the material of the plurality of first sub-pixel regions (2).
