A structure (1) for improving return loss (RL) performance of an optical isolator and an application thereof, the structure comprises an optical isolation unit (12), and an optical spacer (11) fixed on the end face of the optical isolation unit (12). By increasing the spacing between optical materials or air gaps, the distance between a polarizer in the optical isolator and the end face of optical fibers is lengthened, the intensity of scattered light, coupled back to the fibers, of the polarizer is greatly reduced, the RL performance of the isolator is remarkably improved, and the RL value can reach more than 40dB.

L'invention concerne une structure (1) d'amélioration d'affaiblissement de réflexion d'un isolateur optique et d'une application de celui-ci, la structure comprenant une unité d'isolation optique (12) et un espaceur optique (11) fixé sur la face d'extrémité de l'unité d'isolation optique (12). En augmentant l'espacement entre des matériaux optiques ou des entrefers, la distance entre un polariseur dans l'isolateur optique et la face d'extrémité de fibres optiques est allongée, l'intensité de la lumière diffusée, couplée aux fibres, du polariseur est fortement réduite, la performance d'affaiblissement de réflexion de l'isolateur est remarquablement améliorée et la valeur d'affaiblissement de réflexion peut atteindre plus de 40 dB.

一种改善光隔离器回波损耗性能的结构(1)及其应用,该结构包括光隔离单元(12),光隔离单元(12)的端面上固定有光学间隔片(11)。通过增加光学材料或空气隙的间隔,拉长了光隔离器中偏振片与光纤端面之间的距离,大大降低了偏振片散射光回耦到光纤的散射光强度,显著改善了隔离器的RL性能,RL值可以达到40dB以上。
