A noise source and a method of noise reduction for the noise source, specifically a compressor, which comprises a housing (1) comprising an outer surface and a noise reduction layer provided onto the outer surface of the housing(1). The noise reduction layer is coated onto the outer surface of the housing (1) such that the noise reduction layer is adhered onto the outer surface of the housing (1) and there is no gap between the noise reduction layer and the outer surface of the housing (1). It is easy to implement the noise source and the method of noise reduction for the noise source by means of coating, or more specifically spraying, a noise reduction layer onto the outer surface of the housing (1) of the noise source.

L'invention concerne une source de bruit et un procédé de réduction de bruit pour la source de bruit, plus précisément un compresseur, qui comprend un boîtier (1) comprenant une surface extérieure et une couche de réduction de bruit disposée sur la surface extérieure du boîtier (1). La couche de réduction de bruit est appliquée sur la surface extérieure du boîtier (1) de sorte que la couche de réduction de bruit est collée sur la surface extérieure du boîtier (1) et il n'y a pas d'espace entre la couche de réduction de bruit et la surface extérieure du boîtier (1).
