Abstract
(EN)
A dynamic lens for projecting different output beam shapes upon a target for heating, melting, or otherwise modifying the state of the target material. The dynamic lens includes a first light source of high power laser diodes generating a first light beam onto a lensing array with an LCOS device including a plurality of liquid crystal cells to curve and focus the first light beam into a second light beam forming the output beam shape on the target. A controller generates a control signal corresponding to the output beam shape. A single-point laser projects a third light beam tracing an outline of the output beam shape on the target to more clearly define the edge of the output beam shape. The single-point laser may be an IR fiber laser source scanned or traced by a scanner, such as a galvano scanner, directing the third light beam in two dimensions.

La présente invention concerne une lentille dynamique destinée à projeter différentes formes de faisceau de sortie sur une cible pour chauffer, faire fondre ou autrement modifier l'état du matériau cible. La lentille dynamique comprend une première source de lumière des diodes laser haute puissance générant un premier faisceau lumineux sur un réseau lenticulaire à l'aide d'un dispositif LCOS comportant une pluralité de cellules à cristaux liquides pour courber et focaliser le premier faisceau lumineux en un deuxième faisceau lumineux donnant la forme du faisceau de sortie sur la cible. Un dispositif de commande génère un signal de commande correspondant à la forme du faisceau de sortie. Un laser à un seul point projette un troisième faisceau lumineux qui trace un contour de la forme du faisceau de sortie sur la cible pour définir plus clairement le bord de la forme du faisceau de sortie. Le laser à un seul point peut être une source laser à fibre IR balayée ou tracée par un scanneur, tel qu'un galvano-scanneur, orientant le troisième faisceau lumineux dans deux dimensions.
