Abstract
(EN)
The present invention concerns a lighting system and method of use for use with an underground passageway. The lighting system includes a base station located at or near an end of the passageway, said base station including at least one power source. The system also includes a plurality of light modules extending from the base station in a serial arrangement and spaced at least partially along the length of the passageway. Each light module is capable of emitting light for ordinary operations within the passageway and at least one visual signal. The system further includes at least one cable extending from the base station and interconnecting the light modules with the base station and the power source. Lastly, the system includes a controller operatively associated with the base station, said controller being in communication with at least one sensor configured to sense an environmental condition, said controller configured to continuously monitor said sensor and activate the at least one visual signal when an abnormal or emergency environmental condition is detected.

La présente invention concerne un système d'éclairage et un procédé d'utilisation pour une utilisation avec un passage souterrain. Le système d'éclairage comprend une station de base située au niveau ou à proximité d'une extrémité du passage, ladite station de base comprenant au moins une source d'alimentation. Le système comprend également une pluralité de modules lumineux s'étendant à partir de la station de base dans un agencement en série et espacés au moins partiellement sur la longueur du passage. Chaque module lumineux peut émettre de la lumière pour des opérations ordinaires à l'intérieur du passage et au moins un signal visuel. Le système comprend en outre au moins un câble s'étendant à partir de la station de base et interconnectant les modules lumineux avec la station de base et la source d'alimentation. Enfin, le système comprend un dispositif de commande associé de manière fonctionnelle à la station de base, ledit dispositif de commande étant en communication avec au moins un capteur conçu pour détecter une condition environnementale, ledit dispositif de commande étant conçu pour surveiller en continu ledit capteur et activer ledit au moins un signal visuel lorsqu'une condition environnementale anormale ou d'urgence est détectée.
