A sensor unit to be incorporated in a skin-like layer of machines such as robots employs a set of sensor electrodes supported in a first deformable sheet and a base electrode supported in a second deformable sheet, each of the sensor electrodes partially overlapping the base electrode so that application of a shear force causes the overlap of the electrodes to differentially change modifying the capacitance of the electrodes and permitting the detection of the shear force.

Cette invention concerne une unité de capteur à incorporer dans une couche de type peau de machines telles que des robots, employant un ensemble d'électrodes de capteur supportées dans une première feuille déformable et une électrode de base supportée dans une seconde feuille déformable, chacune des électrodes de capteur chevauchant partiellement l'électrode de base de sorte que l'application d'une force de cisaillement amène le chevauchement des électrodes à changer de manière différentielle de sorte à modifier la capacité des électrodes et à permettre la détection de la force de cisaillement.
