A hermetic seal for electrochemical cells. The seal is formed between first and second electronically conductive barrier members. The seal is formed by a cold weld between the first and second barrier members. At least one of the first barrier member and the second barrier member are configured to function as current collectors.

L'invention concerne un joint hermétique pour cellules électrochimiques. Le joint est formé entre des premier et second éléments barrière électroniquement conducteurs. Le joint est formé par une soudure à froid entre les premier et second éléments barrière. Au moins l'un du premier élément barrière et du second élément arrière est configuré pour fonctionner en tant que collecteur de courant.
