Abstract

A blood sample processor for imaging a centrifuged blood sample is provided including a transparent container with the centrifuged blood sample therein. An illumination source is position to illuminate the centrifuged blood sample at a non-right angle to the transparent container. A digital camera disposed opposite the transparent container images the centrifuged blood sample and the image is processed to determine the relative locations of component layers of the centrifuged blood sample.

L'invention concerne un processeur d'échantillon de sang destiné à imager un échantillon de sang centrifugé qui comprend un récipient transparent contenant l'échantillon de sang centrifugé. Une source d'éclairage est positionnée pour éclairer l'échantillon de sang centrifugé à un angle non droit par rapport au récipient transparent. Une caméra numérique disposée à l'opposé du récipient transparent image l'échantillon de sang centrifugé et l'image est traitée pour déterminer les emplacements relatifs des couches de composant de l'échantillon de sang centrifugé.
