Provided are a backlight unit, a display apparatus including the backlight unit and a control method for the display apparatus. The display apparatus includes: a first light source configured to emit first light having a first wavelength; a second light source configured to emit second light having a second wavelength shorter than the first wavelength of the first light; an image signal receiver configured to receive an image signal from an external device; a switching portion configured to operate at least one of the first light source or the second light source; and a controller configured, based on a brightness value of the received image signal, to control the switching portion to selectively allow at least one of the first light source to emit the first light or the second light source to emit the second light.

L'invention concerne une unité de rétroéclairage, un appareil d'affichage comprenant l'unité de rétroéclairage et un procédé de commande pour l'appareil d'affichage. L'appareil d'affichage comprend : une première source de lumière configurée pour émettre une première lumière ayant une première longueur d'onde ; une seconde source de lumière configurée pour émettre une seconde lumière ayant une seconde longueur d'onde plus courte que la première longueur d'onde de la première lumière ; un récepteur de signal d'image configuré pour recevoir un signal d'image provenant d'un dispositif externe ; une partie de commutation configurée pour faire fonctionner la première source de lumière et/ou la seconde source de lumière ; et un dispositif de commande configuré pour, sur la base d'une valeur de luminosité du signal d'image reçu, commander la partie de commutation afin de permettre sélectivement à la première source de lumière d'émettre la première lumière et/ou à la seconde source de lumière d'émettre la seconde lumière.
