Disclosed are an electronic device and method for multi-channel playback of segmented images. The electronic device of the present invention comprises: a terminal communication unit which forms a communication channel with a streaming server; and a terminal control unit which detects a region of interest (ROI) in an image associated with a media presentation description (MPD) file provided by the streaming server, transmits ROI information to the streaming server, receives, from the streaming server, segmented image fragments of a first resolution corresponding to the ROI information, a full image of a second resolution that is lower than the first resolution, and a plurality of 2D images, creates a VR image by synthesizing the segmented image fragments and the full image, and controls a created 360 VR video and the plurality of 2D images to play at the same time.

L'invention concerne un dispositif électronique, et un procédé de lecture multicanal d'images segmentées. Le dispositif électronique de la présente invention comprend : une unité de communication de terminal qui forme un canal de communication avec un serveur de diffusion en continu ; et une unité de commande de terminal qui détecte une région d'intérêt (ROI) dans une image associée à un fichier de description de présentation multimédia (MPD) fourni par le serveur de diffusion en continu, qui transmet des informations de ROI au serveur de diffusion en continu, qui reçoit, en provenance du serveur de diffusion en continu, des fragments d'images segmentées d'une première résolution correspondant aux informations de ROI, une image complète d'une seconde résolution qui est inférieure à la première résolution et une pluralité d'images 2D, qui crée une image VR par synthèse des fragments d'images segmentées et de l'image complète, et qui amène une vidéo 360 VR créée et la pluralité d'images 2D à être lues en même temps.

본 발명은 분할 영상 다중 채널 재생을 하는 전자장치 및 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 전자장치는 스트리밍 서버와 통신 채널을 형성하는 단말 통신부, 스트리밍 서버가 제공하는 MPD(Media Presentation Description) 파일과 관련된 영상의 ROI(Region of Interest)를 검출하고, ROI 정보를 스트리밍 서버에 전송하며, 스트리밍 서버로부터 ROI 정보에 대응하는 제1 해상도의 분할 영상 조각들, 제1 해상도보다 낮은 해상도인 제2 해상도의 전체 영상 및 복수의 2D 영상들을 수신하고, 분할 영상 조각들과 전체 영상을 합성하여 VR 영상을 생성하며, 생성된 360 VR 영상과 복수의 2D 영상들이 동시에 재생되도록 제어하는 단말 제어부를 포함한다.
