The invention discloses a treatment method for the radiation sterilisation of containers (10) made from thermoplastic material, comprising at least: - an initial pitch modifying step that consists in selectively varying the initial pitch (P) between two consecutive containers (10) so as to increase the irradiation time of each container (10); - an irradiation step consisting in irradiating each container (10) from the outside with an electron beam (F) emitted by at least one emitter (110, 120, 130) of a sterilisation device (100).

Dans ce but, l'invention propose un procédé de traitement pour la stérilisation par irradiation de récipients (10) en matière thermoplastique, comportant au moins : - une étape initiale de modification du pas consistant à faire varier sélectivement le pas (P) initial entre deux récipients (10) consécutifs pour augmenter la durée d'irradiation de chaque récipient (10); - une étape d'irradiation consistant à irradier chaque récipient (10) depuis l'extérieur avec un faisceau (F) d'électrons émis par au moins un émetteur (110, 120, 130) d'un dispositif (100) de stérilisation.
