The present invention is directed to a foamable polyolefin composition which is crosslinkable by silane groups, to a crosslinked foam obtained from such a foamable polyolefin composition, and to a process for producing a crosslinked foam based on the foamable polyolefin composition. The foamable polyolefin composition comprises a polyethylene bearing hydrolysable silane groups and comonomer units comprising a polar group selected from the group consisting of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, acrylates, methacrylates, vinyl esters, and mixtures thereof, a silanol condensation catalyst, a physical blowing agent, and a cell nucleating agent.

La présente invention concerne une composition de polyoléfine expansible qui est réticulable par des groupes silane, une mousse réticulée obtenue à partir d'une telle composition de polyoléfine expansible et un procédé de production d'une mousse réticulée sur la base de la composition de polyoléfine expansible. La composition de polyoléfine expansible comprend un polyéthylène portant des groupes silane hydrolysables et des unités comonomères comprenant un groupe polaire choisi dans le groupe constitué de l'acide acrylique, l'acide méthacrylique, des acrylates, des méthacrylates, des esters vinyliques et des mélanges de ceux-ci, un catalyseur de condensation au silanol, un agent d'expansion physique et un agent de nucléation cellulaire.
