The invention relates to a particle sensor comprising a particle charging device for charging particles in a fluid flow flowing in the region of the particle sensor, the particle charging device having at least one corona electrode for producing a corona discharge. The particle sensor has a control device which is designed to supply a variable electrical potential to the at least one corona electrode.
