A passive-matrix liquid crystal display and a passive-matrix liquid crystal display module, the display comprising a first polarizer (1) that has optical compensation, a first ITO conductive substrate (2), a first vertical alignment layer (3), a liquid crystal layer (4), a second vertical alignment layer (5), a second ITO conductive substrate (6), and a second polarizer (7) that has optical compensation, all of which are successively arranged from top to bottom. The first polarizer (1) and the second polarizer (7) are covered with optical compensation films (9, 10) that form light-refractive ellipses or spheres with liquid crystal molecules. Chiral molecules are doped in liquid crystals and twisted structures are present between the liquid crystal molecules. The liquid crystal layer (4) has a certain amount of optical path retardation, exhibits high steepness and contrast, and meets requirements for passive high-path driving.

L'invention concerne un affichage à cristaux liquides à matrice passive et un module d'affichage à cristaux liquides à matrice passive, l'affichage comprenant un premier polariseur (1) qui a une compensation optique, un premier substrat conducteur ITO (2), une première couche d'alignement vertical (3), une couche de cristaux liquides (4), une seconde couche d'alignement vertical (5), un second substrat conducteur ITO (6), et un second polariseur (7) qui a une compensation optique, tous ceux-ci étant successivement agencés de haut en bas. Le premier polariseur (1) et le second polariseur (7) sont recouverts de films de compensation optique (9, 10) qui forment des ellipses ou sphères réfractrices de lumière avec des molécules de cristaux liquides. Des molécules chirales sont dopées dans des cristaux liquides et des structures torsadées sont présentes entre les molécules de cristaux liquides. La couche de cristaux liquides (4) a une certaine quantité de retard de trajet optique, présente une forte pente et un contraste élevé, et répond aux exigences de conduite passive à trajet élevé.
