Abstract

A planing system for a multi-hull watercraft comprising a hull defining a plurality of hulls and at least one channel between at least two of the hull portions comprises a planing surface and an actuator system. The planing surface is supported for movement within the at least one channel between an upper position and a lower position. The actuator system is arranged to displace the planing surface from the upper position to the lower position. The watercraft operates in a first mode when the planing surface is in the upper position and in a second mode when the planing surface is in the lower position. When the watercraft operates in the second mode, the planing surface engages water to cause the vessel to plane.

L'invention concerne un système de planage pour une embarcation multicoque comprenant une coque définissant une pluralité de coques et au moins un canal entre au moins deux des parties de coque, ledit système comprenant une surface de planage et un système d'actionneur. La surface de planage est supportée pour un mouvement à l'intérieur du ou des canaux entre une position supérieure et une position inférieure. Le système d'actionneur est agencé pour déplacer la surface de planage de la position supérieure à la position inférieure. L'embarcation fonctionne dans un premier mode lorsque la surface de planage est dans la position supérieure et fonctionne dans un second mode lorsque la surface de planage est dans la position inférieure. Lorsque l'embarcation fonctionne dans le second mode, la surface de planage vient en prise avec l'eau pour amener le navire à planer.
