Methods and systems are disclosed for a more flexible use of bandwidth parts (BWP) and cells for the various transmissions within the BFR procedure, such as the UL beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) and the DL beam failure recovery response (BFRR). The proposed framework allows these transmission to occur in BWPs with different Id, as well as on different cells. Example benefits include support for BFR on DL-only SCells by allowing the BFR UL transmissions on another cell with UL, support for sequential/parallel multi-cell BFRQ for improved BFR reliability and latency performance, and support for less UE- initiated BWP switching for BFR.

L'invention concerne des procédés et des systèmes pour une utilisation plus souple de parties de bande passante (BWP) et de cellules pour les diverses transmissions au sein de la procédure de reprise sur défaillance de faisceau (BFR), telles que la demande de reprise sur défaillance de faisceau (BFRQ) en liaison montante (UL) et la réponse de reprise sur défaillance de faisceau (BFRR) en liaison descendante (DL). L'infrastructure proposée permet à ces transmissions de s'effectuer dans des BWP ayant des identifiants (ID) différents, ainsi que sur des cellules différentes. Des exemples d'avantages comprennent la prise en charge de BFR sur des cellules secondaires (SCell) uniquement DL par autorisation de transmissions UL BFR sur une autre cellule à UL, la prise en charge de BFRQ séquentielle/parallèle sur de multiples cellules pour une fiabilité de BFR et des performances de latence améliorées, et la prise en charge de moins de commutation de BWP à l'initiative de l'UE pour BFR.
