Controlling a valveless microfluidic device using rotational and pistoning motion is disclosed. A system embodiment includes, but is not limited to, a stage to support a valveless microfluidic device, the stage having a bottom surface coupled with an extension, having a threaded portion, and defining an interior volume; a first motor including a powered rotating portion operable to engage with the threaded portion to induce a z-axis motion of the stage; a second motor including a powered rotating portion coupled with a slidable coupler, the slidable coupler engaging the interior volume to induce a second motion of the stage about the z-axis; a base defining an aperture to receive the stage; and a lid having a subset of the plurality of apertures corresponding to a subset of a plurality of apertures defined by the valveless microfluidic device upon positioning of the stage by the first motor and the second motor.

L'invention concerne la commande d'un dispositif microfluidique sans soupape à l'aide d'un mouvement de rotation et de piston. Un mode de réalisation du système comprend, sans s'y limiter, un étage permettant de maintenir un dispositif microfluidique sans soupape, l'étage possédant une surface inférieure accouplée à une extension, comprenant une partie filetée, et délimitant un volume intérieur ; un premier moteur comprenant une partie rotative motorisée permettant de venir en prise avec la partie filetée afin d'induire un mouvement d'axe z de l'étage ; un second moteur comprenant une partie rotative motorisée accouplée à un coupleur coulissant, le coupleur coulissant entrant en prise avec le volume intérieur afin d'induire un second mouvement de l'étage autour de l'axe z ; une base délimitant une ouverture permettant de recevoir l'étage ; et un couvercle comprenant un sous-ensemble d'ouvertures de la pluralité d'ouvertures correspondant à un sous-ensemble d'ouvertures d'une pluralité d'ouvertures délimitées par le dispositif microfluidique sans soupape lors du positionnement de l'étage par le premier moteur et le second moteur.
