An apparatus is disclosed for a multi-band millimeter-wave (mmW) antenna array and radio-frequency integrated circuit (RFIC) module. In an example aspect, the apparatus includes a multi-band mmW antenna array and RFIC module with a first antenna array, a second antenna array, and at least one radio-frequency front-end integrated circuit. The first antenna array includes at least two first antenna elements and is tuned to a first mmW frequency band. The second antenna array includes at least two second antenna elements and is tuned to a second mmW frequency band. The at least one radio-frequency front end integrated circuit includes at least two first transceiver chains and at least two second transceiver chains. The at least two first transceiver chains are respectively coupled to the at least two first antenna elements, and the at least two second transceiver chains are respectively coupled to the at least two second antenna elements.

L'invention concerne un appareil pour un réseau d'antennes multibande à ondes millimétriques (mmW) et un module de circuit intégré à radiofréquences (RFIC). Selon un aspect décrit à titre d'exemple, l'appareil comprend un réseau d'antennes mmW multibande et un module de RFIC comportant un premier réseau d'antennes, un second réseau d'antennes, et au moins un circuit intégré frontal à radiofréquences. Le premier réseau d'antennes comprend au moins deux premiers éléments d'antenne et est accordé sur une première bande de fréquences mmW. Le second réseau d'antennes comprend au moins deux seconds éléments d'antenne et est accordé sur une seconde bande de fréquences mmW. Le ou les circuits intégrés frontaux à radiofréquences comprennent au moins deux premières chaînes d'émission-réception et au moins deux secondes chaînes d'émission-réception. Lesdites au moins deux premières chaînes d'émission-réception sont respectivement couplées auxdits au moins deux premiers éléments d'antenne, et lesdites au moins deux secondes chaînes d'émission-réception sont respectivement couplées auxdits au moins deux seconds éléments d'antenne.
