A ball-lock tool retainer insert includes a retainer insert body having a generally flat top and bottom face arid a generally elongated non-circular cross-section. A lower portion and an upper portion of the retainer insert body each have a constant cross-section with the upper portion cross-section being larger than the lower portion crosssection thereby forming an enlarged shoulder. The retainer insert body has a tool aperture with a constant cross-section extending from the top face to the bottom face for receiving a tool and an angle hole adjacent the tool aperture extending from the top face and partially extending into the tool aperture for holding a ball lock. The retainer insert body is adapted to be received by a retainer block having a generally elongated non- circular hole with a counterbore such that the enlarged shoulder of the retainer insert body fits into the counterbore.

L'invention concerne un élément rapporté de retenue d'outil à démontage rapide, lequel élément comprend un corps d'élément rapporté de retenue ayant une face supérieure et une face inférieure globalement plates et une section transversale non circulaire globalement allongée. Une partie inférieure et une partie supérieure du corps d'élément rapporté de retenue ont chacune une section transversale constante, la section transversale de partie supérieure étant plus grande que la section transversale de partie inférieure, formant ainsi un épaulement agrandi. Le corps d'élément rapporté de retenue a une ouverture d'outil ayant une section transversale constante s'étendant à partir de la face supérieure jusqu'à la face inférieure pour recevoir un outil et un trou d'angle adjacent à l'ouverture d'outil s'étendant à partir de la face supérieure et s'étendant partiellement dans l'ouverture d'outil pour maintenir un verrou à bille. Le corps d'élément rapporté de retenue est apte à être reçu par un bloc de retenue ayant un trou non circulaire globalement allongé avec un lamage, de telle sorte que l'épaulement agrandi du corps d'élément rapporté de retenue s'adapte dans le lamage.
