The purpose of the present invention is to provide a recombinant host cell which is capable of efficiently and easily producing a benzylisoquinoline alkaloid (BIA), in particular, tetrahydropapaveroline, 3-hydroxycoclaurine, 3-hydroxy-N-methylcoclaurine and/or reticuline, and a method for efficiently and easily producing these BIAs using the host cell. The present invention pertains to a recombinant host cell for producing a benzylisoquinoline alkaloid (BIA), in particular, tetrahydropapaveroline (THP), 3-hydroxycoclaurine, 3-hydroxy-N-methylcoclaurine and/or reticuline, in which a wild-type aromatic aldehyde synthase (AAS) or a mutant thereof and a wild-type aromatic amino acid decarboxylase (AAAD) or a mutant thereof are expressed.

Le but de la présente invention est de fournir une cellule hôte recombinante étant capable de produire efficacement et facilement un alcaloïde benzylisoquinoline (BIA), en particulier, la tétrahydropapavéroline, la 3-hydroxycoclaurine, la 3-hydroxy-N-méthylcoclaurine et/ou la réticuline, et un procédé pour produire efficacement et facilement ces BIA à l'aide de la cellule hôte. La présente invention porte sur une cellule hôte recombinante pour produire un alcaloïde benzylisoquinoline (BIA), en particulier, la tétrahydropapavéroline (THP), la 3-hydroxycoclaurine, la 3-hydroxy-N-méthylcoclaurine et/ou la réticuline, dans laquelle une aldéhyde synthase aromatique de type sauvage (AAS) ou un mutant correspondant et une décarboxylase d'acide aminé aromatique de type sauvage (AAAD) ou un mutant correspondant sont exprimées.

本発明は、ベンジルイソキノリンアルカロイド(BIA)、中でもテトラヒドロパパベロリン、3-ヒドロキシコクラウリン、3-ヒドロキシ-N-メチルコクラウリン及び/又はレチクリンを効率的かつ容易に生産することができる組換え宿主細胞を提供すること、そしてその宿主細胞を用いて効率的かつ容易にこれらを製造する方法を提供することを目的とする。 本発明は、芳香族アルデヒドシンターゼ(AAS)、芳香族アミノ酸脱炭酸酵素(AAAD)の、野生型又は変異体を発現させた、ベンジルイソキノリンアルカロイド(BIA)、中でも特にテトラヒドロパパベロリン(THP)、3-ヒドロキシコクラウリン、3-ヒドロキシ-N-メチルコクラウリン及び/又はレチクリン産生用の組換え宿主細胞である。
