The present invention addresses the problem of improving the production efficiency of an alcohol obtained through the hydration of an olefin and providing high-performance catalyst used in the production of an alcohol obtained through the hydration of an olefin. The present disclosure provides a method for producing an alcohol by using a solid acid catalyst, supplying water and a C2-C5 olefin to a reactor, and performing hydration in a gas phase, the method being characterized by: kneading a fumed silica obtained by a combustion method, a silica gel obtained by a gel method, and a colloidal silica obtained by a sol-gel method or a water glass method; molding the resulting kneaded product; calcining the resulting molded body to obtain a silica carrier; and using a solid acid catalyst in which a heteropolyacid or a salt thereof is supported on the silica carrier.

Le problème à résoudre par la présente invention se rapporte l'amélioration de l'efficacité de production d'un alcool obtenu par hydratation d'une oléfine et concerne la fourniture d'un catalyseur à haute performance utilisé dans la production d'un alcool obtenu par hydratation d'une oléfine. La présente invention concerne un procédé de production d'un alcool au moyen d'un catalyseur acide solide, comprenant la fourniture de l'eau et d'une oléfine en C2-C5 à un réacteur, et la mise en œuvre d'une hydratation en phase gazeuse, le procédé consiste à : malaxer une silice sublimée obtenue par un procédé de combustion, un gel de silice obtenu par un procédé à gel, et une silice colloïdale obtenue par un procédé sol-gel ou un procédé de verre soluble ; mouler le produit malaxé obtenu ; calciner le corps moulé obtenu pour obtenir un support de silice ; et utiliser un catalyseur acide solide ; un hétéropolyacide ou un sel de celui-ci étant supporté sur le support de silice.

本発明の課題は、オレフィンの水和反応によるアルコールの製造効率を高めること、及びオレフィンの水和反応によるアルコール製造に用いる高性能の触媒を提供することである。本開示によれば、固体酸触媒を用い、水と炭素原子数2~5のオレフィンとを反応器へ供給し、気相中で水和反応させることによるアルコールの製造方法において、燃焼法により得られたフュームドシリカと、ゲル法で得られたシリカゲルと、ゾルゲル法又は水ガラス法で得られたコロイダルシリカとを混練し、得られた混練物を成形し、次いで得られた成形体を焼成して得られたシリカ担体に、ヘテロポリ酸又はその塩が担持された固体酸触媒を用いることを特徴とするアルコールの製造方法が提供される。
