The present invention pertains to a sintered friction material that has a copper component content of 0.5 mass% or less, contains a metal material other than copper and a titanate as a matrix, and has a metal material content of 10.0-34.0 vol% for the metal material other than copper. This sintered friction material is environmentally friendly and has adequate friction performance even in a high-speed range.

La présente invention concerne un matériau de frottement fritté qui a une teneur en élément de cuivre inférieure ou égale à 0,5 % en masse, contient un matériau métallique autre que le cuivre et un titanate en tant que matrice, et a une teneur en matériau métallique de 10,0-34,0 % en volume pour le matériau métallique autre que le cuivre. Ce matériau de frottement fritté est respectueux de l'environnement et présente des performances de frottement adéquates même dans une plage de vitesse élevée.
