L'invention concerne un procédé mis en oeuvre par un dispositif pour transmettre un signal de référence, RS, dans une communication de dispositif à dispositif, D2D, dans un système de communication sans fil, le procédé comprenant : - la sélection d'un motif RS parmi un ensemble d'au moins deux motifs RS, en fonction de conditions de communication ; -l'émission d'un signal radio pour une communication D2D en fonction du motif RS sélectionné.
