Provided is an information processing device, an information processing method, and a system that can improve convenience for a user, by guiding an operating body to an area that can be appropriately recognized, when the operating body is operated in an area where the position of the operating body cannot be recognized. The information processing device comprises control units (120, 140, 170) which perform a recognition processing for recognizing the position of an operating body in a projection area on the basis of a captured image of the projection area, an operation detection process for detecting that an operation on the operating body is performed on the basis of sensor data output by a sensor provided on the operating body, and a projection control process for, when the operation on the operating body is detected by the operation detecting process and the position of the operating body is not recognized by the recognition process, causing a projection unit to project, to the projection area, an image for guiding the operating body to a position in the projection area where the position of the operating body can be recognized by the recognition process.
