The present disclosure relates to overlapped block motion compensation with derived motion from neighbors. A method for video processing, comprising: determining, during a conversion between a current block of visual media data and a corresponding coded representation of the visual media data, at least one neighboring block for the current block;determining motion information of the at least one neighboring block; and performing Overlapped Block Motion Compensation (OBMC) for the current block based on the motion information of the at least one neighboring block, wherein the OBMC includes using an intermediate prediction values of one sub-block of the current block and a prediction values of at least one neighboring sub-block to generating a final prediction values of the sub-block.

La présente invention concerne une compensation de mouvement de blocs superposés au moyen d'un mouvement dérivé de voisins. Un procédé de traitement vidéo consiste à : déterminer, pendant une conversion entre un bloc courant de données de contenu multimédia visuel et une représentation codée correspondante des données de contenu multimédia visuel, au moins un bloc voisin du bloc courant ; déterminer des informations de mouvement dudit bloc voisin ; et exécuter une compensation de mouvement de blocs superposés (OBMC) du bloc courant sur la base des informations de mouvement dudit bloc voisin, l'OBMC consistant à faire appel à des valeurs de prédiction intermédiaire d'un sous-bloc du bloc courant et à des valeurs de prédiction d'au moins un sous-bloc voisin pour générer des valeurs de prédiction finale du sous-bloc.
