The invention concerns a method for producing a combustible material having a net calorific value greater than or equal to 5.29 MWh/t. According to the invention, such a method comprises - continuously introducing a predetermined volume per minute of wood fragments into a pressurised reactor; - exposing the wood fragments to steam at a temperature of between 200 and 220°C for a period of between 5 and 9 minutes, the value of the period of exposure and the temperature value of the steam being selected such that the severity factor is between 4.05 and 4.15; - continuously extracting, from the reactor, a same predetermined volume of wood fragments per minute, through a plurality of apertures opening in a pipe substantially at atmospheric pressure; - separating the decompressed wood fragments and the residual steam extracted from the reactor, the wood fragments obtained after separation forming the combustible material.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'une matière combustible présentant un pouvoir calorifique inférieur supérieur ou égal à 5,29 MWh/t. Selon l'invention, un tel procédé comprend - introduction en continu d'un volume prédéterminé par minute de fragments de bois dans un réacteur sous pression; - exposition des fragments de bois à de la vapeur d'eau à une température comprise entre 200 et 220°C pendant une durée comprise entre 5 et 9mn, la valeur de ladite durée d'exposition et la valeur de la température de ladite vapeur d'eau étant sélectionnées de sorte que le facteur de sévérité soit compris entre 4,05 et 4,15; - extraction en continu dudit réacteur d'un même volume prédéterminé de fragments de bois par minute, au travers d'une pluralité d'orifices débouchant dans un conduit sensiblement à la pression atmosphérique; - séparation desdits fragments de bois décompressés et de la vapeur résiduelle extraite dudit réacteur, lesdits fragments de bois obtenus après séparation formant ladite matière combustible.
