Abstract

To configure a device (20) for access to a wireless network, the device (20) is connected to a Personal Computer Memory Card International Association (PCMCIA) connector ( 18) of a television signal receiver (10). Network configuration data is passed from the television signal receiver ( 10) to the device (20) via the PCMCIA connector (18). In some examples, the network configuration data is transmitted in a Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG) transport stream.

Selon la présente invention, pour configurer un appareil (20) pour l'accès à un réseau sans fil, l'appareil (20) est connecté à un connecteur PCMCIA (18) (Personal Computer Memory Card International Association) d'un récepteur de signaux de télévision (10). Des données de configuration de réseau sont transmises du récepteur de signal de télévision (10) au dispositif (20) par l'intermédiaire du connecteur PCMCIA (18). Dans certains exemples, les données de configuration de réseau sont transmises dans un flux MPEG (Moving Picture Experts Group).
