The present invention relates to the treatment of bacterial infections and the reduction of inflammatory response using bacteriophage compositions. In an aspect, provided herein are methods of treating a bacterial infection characterized by inflammation in a subject, the method comprising administering to the subject a bacteriophage composition that is essentially free of impurities, wherein the composition reduces inflammation.

La présente invention concerne le traitement d'infections bactériennes et la réduction de la réponse inflammatoire à l'aide de compositions bactériophages. Dans un aspect, l'invention concerne des procédés de traitement d'une infection bactérienne caractérisée par une inflammation chez un sujet, le procédé comprenant l'administration au sujet d'une composition bactériophage qui est essentiellement exempte d'impuretés, la composition réduisant l'inflammation.
